Smile.
I enjoy smiling at strangers when I'm out and about. Maybe some people think it's weird, some smile back, some say "hello", and some start a conversation. I feel happier when I do it especially when I get positive feedback. I also feel more connected.
When I was walking down State Street after work today, I walked past a man who said nodded and said, "Have a nice night". I said, "Thank you, you too!" and smiled. He replied, "Thank you for smiling. Smiles can really make someone's day". I turned around and couldn't help but smile again at him. This was a simple reminder for me to continue to smile at people because you never know if you could make someone's day by doing so.
Since I'm talking about smiles, I might as well throw this quote out there that my wonderful friend, Nicky, shared with me: "Smile. It increases your face value."
